Intelligent Sensing and Computing
Artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging wireless technologies are enabling unprecedented access to cognitive capabilities. Next-generation sensing and computing paradigms are essential for integrating such capabilities extensively into real-world tasks. Intelligent sensing and computing at Princeton focuses on co-design, across: AI models for machine perception, planning, and action; full-stack distributed computing technologies for accelerating sensor fusion and processing; and novel sensors for preserving structure and providing access across modalities prevalent in the real world. Centered around applications in human-interactive intelligent systems, the research draws on theory in data and information sciences, design and design methodologies for new system models and components, and experimental platforms and demonstrations of resulting technologies and capabilities
